| Description: Transformer service 3.1 Transformer Oil Regeneration and Filtration • Drain existing transformer oil into filtration unit. Conduct moisture content and dielectric strength tests before filtration. • Recondition oil to achieve minimum dielectric strength of ≥ 60 kV (BDV test). • Top up oil to correct levels and record all test results before and after filtration. 3.2 Silica Gel Replacement • Inspect the breather assembly. Replace moisture-saturated silica gel crystals with new blue-indicating type. Clean and reseal breather to prevent air ingress. 3.3 Transformer Electrical Tests • Perform the following tests in accordance with IEC 60076 and IEEE Std C57.12.90:Insulation Resistance, Polarization Index, Transformer Turns Ratio, Winding Resistance, Oil BDV Test, Visual Inspection, and Temperature/Fan Control Test. |
