Overview
The Tobacco Industry & Marketing Board (TIMB) is a Zimbabwean regulatory and advisory statutory board whose functions include controlling and regulating the farming, marketing, processing and exporting of tobacco in Zimbabwe. TIMB represents the entire tobacco value chain and its exhibit at the 2026 Zimbabwe Agricultural Show (ZAS) will showcase how Zimbabwe’s tobacco industry is evolving beyond just tobacco production. The exhibit will highlight sustainability, value addition, smallholder farmer empowerment and alternative revenue streams within the industry. It will also emphasise TIMB’s role in driving innovation, economic transformation, and environmental responsibility in the tobacco sector.
Exhibit Design & Key Features
TIMB’s exhibit will be designed as an immersive experience, featuring a mix of interactive displays, live demonstrations, and multimedia presentations to engage stakeholders and visitors.
Requirements
- 2 TVs / screens
- Sound system to connect to the TVs
- 1 sitting area with couches and table
- 1 Front desk (digital display)
- Storeroom

- 6 comfortable chairs for exhibitors
- 1 interactive digital screen
- See-through display shelves to showcase dried Zim tobacco, cigarettes, cigars, cut rag etc (TIMB to provide dried Zim tobacco, cigarettes, cigars, cut rag)
- Elevated floor with flooring (not mats)
- Small greenhouse model
- Wooden fruit and vegetable stall
- Small area with arranged tree seedlings to signify a real-life woodlot
Exhibition Concept
- A live display of afforestation efforts, a small woodlot with eucalyptus tree seedlings and fruit trees. Should include a woodpile of eucalyptus logs for sustainable tobacco curing. To showcase how we are ending the use of indigenous wood for tobacco curing by 2030. (TIMB to provide tree seedlings)
- Sustainable intensification of tobacco production – How we are going to achieve the goal of producing 400 million kgs annually. To showcase good agricultural practices and alternative tobaccos like Natural Cured Virginia (NCV) tobacco, burley and shisha. (TIMB to provide float trays with tobacco seedlings and a tobacco bale, service provider to do models of air-cured drying racks)
- Tobacco to Wealth display - how TIMB is helping farmers diversify income streams beyond tobacco by implementing Global G.A.P. This will be showcased through a mini marketplace (stall) with fruits and horticultural produce
- Heap of coal to showcase the subsidised coal facility TIMB created for tobacco farmers. (service provider to do models of irrigation equipment)
- Climate-smart agriculture with irrigation and the use of technologies like greenhouse farming of alternative crops. (service provider to do models of irrigation equipment)
- Digitisation of tobacco production and management – Biometric grower registration, fingerprints and facial recognition (wall mural)
- Showcase Value addition of tobacco into cigarettes, cigars, cutrug etc (TIMB to provide the samples and service provider to provide display material)
- Sustainability – ending child labour social impact CSR – (wall mural)
- Market and Trade development - World map showing current and potential markets for Zimbabwean tobacco – (wall mural)
- An interactive digital screen showcasing statistics, i.e. grower demographies, production history, exports, earnings, etc. (stand designer to design motion graphics for the interactive digital screen)
Branding & Visual Appeal
The stand will be eco-themed with natural wood finishes, green plants, and interactive digital screens. The design will reflect growth, sustainability, and prosperity, reinforcing the theme “Beyond Tobacco – Growing Prosperity, Sustaining the Future.”

TIMB’s 2026 Zimbabwe Agricultural Show Exhibit will not only showcase the progress of Zimbabwe’s tobacco industry but also educate and inspire stakeholders on the future of profitable, sustainable and technology-driven tobacco production. By combining interactive displays and real-world testimonials, TIMB will reaffirm its commitment to transforming tobacco farming into a diversified and resilient economic sector.

Requirements
- Mutare, Karoi and Marondera outdoor stands should have a roof and at least 2 open sides
- 1 TV for TIMB videos
- 1 branded front desk
- Standard lighting and coloured lights for aesthetics
- 4 comfortable chairs for exhibitors
- See-through display spaces to neatly showcase tobacco, cigarettes, cigars, cut rag, etc.
- Elevated floor , Elevated platforms to put display items
- Logo printing, including the theme
- Design and printing of wall murals for the solid stand spaces
- Stands will be eco-themed with white panels, artificial wall climbing flowers and natural wood finishes.
