TERMS OF REFERENCE (TOR) FOR LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT
1.INTRODUCTION This Terms of Reference (TOR) outlines the objectives, scope, requirements, and expectations for the Leadership Development Program. The Leadership Development Program is a strategic initiative aimed at equipping TIMB Management with the skills, knowledge, and behaviours necessary to lead effectively and drive the organization’s success.
2. OBJECTIVES The primary objectives of this program are:
Build leadership competencies aligned with organizational strategy, culture, and values.
Foster a pipeline of capable leaders for succession planning.
Enhance employee engagement, innovation, and organizational performance.
3. SCOPE OF WORK The scope of work includes but is not limited to:
emotional intelligence training,
strategic decision-making,
coaching/mentorship,
clear goal-setting.
Must combine formal training with practical, on-the-job application to build essential skills like conflict resolution, communication, and resilience
4. PROGRAM SPECIFICATIONS The following should be considered:
Design and development of in-depth learning curriculum
Give relevant learning materials to participants
Make use of practical examples or situations
5. DELIVERABLES The trainer is expected to deliver the following:
Inception report with work plan and methodology
Ensure alignment with TIMB strategic plan and objectives
Facilitate post training evaluation processes and tools
Certification of participants
6. EXPECTED OUTCOMES Upon completion of the program, trainees should be able to:
Demonstrate a strong understanding of leadership practices and standards.
Apply learnings in their respective roles.
Exhibit improved leadership skills.
Meet business expectations and contribute effectively to business operations.
Be able to mentor and coach subordinates and other employees
8. CONSULTANT REQUIREMENTS The selected consultant must:
Have at least 8 years experience in Training and Development Consultancy. Mandatory submission of Lead Consultant CV
Provide 3 signed references on Company letterhead of similar completed work.
