scrap/destroy 48kg LPG cylinders

The Zimbabwe Energy Regulatory Authority (ZERA) wishes to appoint a qualified and experienced engineering firm to scrap/destroy 48kg LPG cylinders seized by ZERA and ordered by the courts to be destroyed.

SCOPE OF WORK

1. Collecting cylinders from ZERA designated storage for destruction at a premises approved by ZERA.
2. Arranging to render the cylinders safe for scraping including verification thereof.
3. Destroying the cylinders by mechanical means in such a manner so that they cannot be reconstructed by welding or otherwise through;
   1. Crushing flat the cylinder or
   2. Cutting up the cylinders into at least 4 pieces i.e.
      1. Circumferential cut to the top doom.
      2. Circumferential cut to the bottom doom.
      3. Vertical dissection of the cylinder body into at least 2 parts.
      4. Flattening out the cut pieces.
4. Recording all works done including reconciliation of number of cylinders cut and weight of scrap generated.

REQUIREMENTS

1. Valid PRAZ registration.                                          
2. Valid Tax Clearance certificate.
